Citrus  Cranberry  Delight

 

 

 

 

INGREDIENTS:
 


4 quarts water

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

6 cinnamon sticks (3 inches)

8 cups cranberry juice

4 cups orange juice

1/3 cup lemon juice

 

 


DIRECTIONS:
 

In a large kettle, combine the water, sugar and cinnamon.

Bring to a boil; reduce heat.

Cover and simmer for 25 minutes

 

Remove and discard cinnamon sticks.

 

Stir juices into syrup mixture.

 

Serve warm.

Harvest  Apple  Cider

 

 

 

 

INGREDIENTS:
 


8 whole cloves

4 cups apple cider or apple juice

4 cups pineapple juice

1/2 cup water

1 cinnamon stick (3 inches)

1 (individual) tea bag

 

 


DIRECTIONS:
 

IN A SLOW COOKER

 

Place cloves on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth

and tie with kitchen string to form a bag.

 

Place the remaining ingredients in a 3 quart slow cooker; add spice bag.

 

Cover and cook on low for 2 hours or until cider reaches desired temperature.

 

Remove and discard spice bag, cinnamon stick and tea bag before serving.

 

 

Serves about 2 quarts

 

 

 

 

 

Cinnamon  Orange  Cider

 

 

 

 

INGREDIENTS:
 


4 cups apple cider or apple juice

2 cups orange juice

3 tablespoons red-hot candies

1 1/2 teaspoons whole allspice

4 1/2 teaspoons honey

 

 


DIRECTIONS:
 

In a large saucepan, combine the cider, juice and candies.

 

Place the allspice on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth

and tie with string to form a bag.

Add to pan.

 

Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until flavors are blended.

 

Remove and discard spice bag.

 

Stir in honey.

 

May be kept warm in a slow cooker over low heat.

 

 

Serves about 1 1/2 quarts
